Lyft Is Partnering AEG For Transporting People To And From Music Concerts

Lyft has teamed up with Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) to be its private transport companion, at least on bicycles, scooters, and the ridesharing service. Lyft will be on hand at 16 places and accessible in eight main markets in which music festivals are behind held.

Under the deal, Lyft will make and run designated dropoff and pickup”Lyft Spots” for its cars, bicycles, and scooters in venues such as the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Dodger Stadium in November.

Concerts, along with other music events, are very popular for ridesharing providers due to the number of attendees who intend to leave less than sober. This prevalence often results in a mess of vehicles from several ridesharing services along with the customers seeking to enter the ideal cars.

“Lyft continues to provide cities with more transportation options, including bikes and scooters, and AEG is an ideal partner to ensure music fans have the best experience from arriving for the opening act to leaving after their favorite band’s encore,” Lyft Chief Business Officer David Baga stated in a statement.

It’s not the first time Lyft is involving in getting individuals to significant events. Last year, the company partnered with SeatGeek to drop off people at the venue entrance closest to their own ticket. The deal with AEG mirrors that a similar arrangement Uber had with Live Nation in 2015.
