Samsung Launches An All-New Vertical TV

Samsung is about to launch a new vertical television designed to serve the demand for millennials. This strange TV is known as ‘Sero’ which means vertical in Korean and is built to resemble a smartphone. To this moment, Movies and Television programs are shot horizontally, meaning that Sero won’t have the ability to show them correctly while it’s in vertical mode.

Samsung says the Sero was made to encourage young people by allowing it to go Vertical, to project more of their stuff. Throwing in 4.1-channel, 60W speakers together with an incorporated navy stand and a minimalist back layout, Samsung expects that this TV will serve as both a music streaming hub along with a beautiful piece of furniture.

Whether it is not used as a traditional TV or a phone enlarger, Sero can function as a large photo frame or a music visualizer. Also, Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant is available. Samsung plans to put the Sero available for 1.89m KRW (about $1,600) in its home market of South Korea at the end of May.

“Samsung will continue introducing screens that respect personal consumer tastes,” Han Jong-hee, president of display business at Samsung said to Metro. “We will think outside the box to bring different types of screens and different user experiences.”
