Slack Went Down On Friday Because Of Connectivity Issues

Work messaging app platform Slack was having some issues, the business confirmed Friday on Twitter. Some messages are not sending, and a few are carrying a lot longer than usual to load. Users all over the world have been reporting outages, replicating messages, and errors with the popular office communication tool.

For many businesses, Slack is central to communicating. For now, staff might be made to talk in person. According to Slack’s page, you will find outages across login/SSO, connections, connect previews, notifications, messaging, posts/files, forecasts, search, apps/integrations/APIs and workspace/org administration. So, everything actually.

On Down Detector, which tracks website issues, Slack users noticed that messages editing also appeared to be affected by the latest bug. Comments indicated that it had been down across the world, including Sweden, Russia, Argentina, Italy, Czech Republic, Ukraine, and Croatia.

On Friday Slack said it’s”still working hard to restore file upload functionality” at 4:54 p.m., adding on Twitter at 5:05 p.m. that its team is still” working to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Slack is an office chat application first released in 2013. The business calls the software a”collaboration hub.” It has over 10 million daily busy users in over 150 countries. Slack claim that 65 of the Fortune 100 use its chat program to fuel their companies.
